A morning in town celebrating the new @lauraashleyfashion collection, which, as a bit of a die-hard LA lover was very exciting indeed! I picked up this treasured Made in Wales 'Peacock Damask' '70s dress of theirs many moons ago at Festival Number 6 for a very nifty £40 and it remains one of my favourite pieces year on year- Laura Ashley have also brought this print back for their new collection (which I'll share on stories) in a gorgeous mini, and it's looooove (also hello breakfast buddy @charlottejacklin!) I feel like I've become a little bit worse at show

I feel like I've become a little bit worse at showing up online when things feel a bit tricky (or 'weedy' as I like to keep saying). Sometimes, because this is my job it feels a bit scary and vulnerable and not very 'work friendly' to admit when things are a bit difficult and the juggle feels too much. So this is just a little post sharing some of the glimmers of joy from the last week, and a little love to anyone feeling like they're very much muddling through or aimlessly looking for their glasses at the moment- things will become clearer and easier soon, I'm hopeful ♥️

Styling this beautiful spring blouse of dreams from @jaggery_london this morning in four ways (basically because I’ve worn it every day since the weekend and I need to start getting creative as my jeans need a wash)! Anyway! I’m so excited to share this beautiful sustainable small business with you today. After discovering Jaggery towards the end of last year, I fell head over heels for their stunning knitwear- the shapes! The colours! The yarns! Their founder Theresa is a master of creating beautiful pieces with heart, and every item designed and made helps support local artisans and communities around the world- with their core belief being the support of their makers every step of the way. Whether that’s by creating economic, social and cultural opportunities or creating livelihoods and careers for local women. Their designs are thoughtfully made and feel so beautiful to wear- and I can promise you’ll be seeing a lot of this blouse over the next few months…

After booking nearly a year and a half ago, (and life very much having other plans which meant rearranging three times)- my family and I spent a beautiful spring week in @centerparcsuk last week and it was wonderful. I have lots of memories from holidays here when I was growing up (and sometimes revisiting somewhere years later as a grown up you can find your memories don't always line up when you revisit somewhere)- but coming back here everything seemed to stay the same (and not in an 'oh wow that could do with a lick of paint!!' way either). Maybe it was visiting with Arlo (who said 'I love my holiday!!' more times than I could count which melted my heart); who spent the week giddily deer spotting from our bedroom window, building sandcastles and doing better at bowling than four adults very much his seniors. Perhaps it was the chance to step away from life for a little bit; appreciate little waddling ducks by the lake, waking up to weather that wasnt always sunny but was (almost) always dry, fresh baguettes from the supermarket for lunch and spending time with the four people that mean more to me than anything- who carry me through life's little and large worries whether we're on the sofa or sharing the last bit of bread at dinner. Sometimes it's the big things, but most of the time it's the very little things and this week felt like just that. Jam on toast made by somebody that really cares about you, burying your feet in the sand and the start of a new season whether that means rain, wind or little glimmers of sunshine ☀️
