Starting this week with the most special 24 hours

Starting this week with the most special 24 hours at the stunning @cowdrayestate (reimagined as LOT manor), for the @lucyowentalent Summer Soirée. And crikey, what an enormous, enormous honour it was to spend time with such a kind, inspiring and bloody well dressed (honestly, I have never SEEN so many great dresses per square metre) group of women.

Despite what it may look like, working on your own and doing this job (as wonderful as it is, and my do I count my lucky stars), can be a really lonely place and thing to do- especially when it's just been you at a dining room table for years! It can feel like everyone is living their own lives in their own lanes, so I cannot express how important and cup-filling evenings like this feel (and the chance to wear *all* the ruffles and cosplay as lady of the manor, of course). To be part of a group of women who not only truly 'get it' but are so willing to support and laugh through it all feels like a bit of magic- and magic is truly what they all are ♥️ a very exciting new chapter, and a very beautiful start to the week.

A little outfit made up from a couple of new vintage pieces I picked up a couple of weekends ago in beautiful Bexhill! A tunic (which I'm wearing as a smock dress) which I'm sure was a men's shirt from the 1910's (I feel like I might look like a Les Mis extra if I wore it as a shirt, so dress it is) and a little vintage @lauraashleyuk scarf to boot!
