I'm fairly confident in saying that I'm not the most efficient holiday dresser. With most trips away being city breaks or U.K. escapes- I've still got a lot to learn in the packing department that doesn't equate to panic buying on ASOS 24 hours before I need to be at the departure gate- or even at Zara in Gatwick's North Terminal (where I vow they will never get to know me by name). But honestly? I find holiday dressing quite a task. There was once a time where dressing for a week away consisted of tightly beaded hair braids a la Monica, triangle bandana tops circa 2000 school disco and more towelling than your local swimming club. There was an almost underlying pressure to dress totally different the second you pack a suitcase- and goodness knows I've been partial to accidental palm prints, kaftans and tassels.

But all that said, over the years I've learnt to not impulse buy the things that'll see me through the summer seasons- but invest in things that I know will take me through a heatwave at home too- which is where pieces like this dress come in. It's the pieces that brands like Reformation do so well- looking at classic shapes and cuts that last longer than an EasyJet flight and week in Spain- and pieces that are more timeless than trend led- which I'm pretty sure can only be a good thing (and hopefully means I can avoid duty-free Zara in the future too)...

  8. Dress is gorgeous, really love the red and striped versions too! Debating over here! lol I'm terrible at packing, in the sense that I could take the whole house if I'd be allowed, too! Cat too! :) I always end up buying as many kilos as I can, but I'm never sorry to be honest! This year I even took a travel kettle and mugs as I've read the reviews for our hotel and it said they didn't provide you with one! Again, not sorry! :)

  13. So beautiful Liv!

I'm heading off on holiday tomorrow and this is making me so excited, would love to get my hands on some Reformation dresses. I basically just live in those types of dresses on holiday!

  15. Packing for holidays in summer countries is so difficult - do you need to take a warm jacket just in case? Tights to wear with dresses on chilly days? An umbrella? You just never know haha, especially when you live in England like we do. White is always a good colour to go for though, especially on a pretty dress like this one!

  16. I have always struggled with holiday dressing, because I'm a winter baby and I never know how to prepare for 1 week of sunshine. I do think I could do with thinking it out a bit more, and, as you said focusing on pieces that will still look good year on year like that gorgeous white dress

  24. Beautiful holiday outfit! I completely agree about no longer buying things that will be worn for 7 days abroad and then pushed to the back of the wardrobe to never see daylight again! It's much nicer to dip into trends with accessories, like your round straw bag! <3
