(Jacket: Zara, Top: COS, Trousers: Topshop, Bag: Radley, Shoes: C/O & Other Stories, Glasses: Monki)

I've always been one to make the assumption that I'm forever destined to look more Inspector Gadget than Francoise Hardy in a trench coat. I've always felt a little bit corporate in a mac, and instead of oozing a certain je-nais-se-Chung I've always felt a pinstripe away from being more Wolf of Wall Street than anything else. I've spoken a little about this here but it wasn't until I recently picked up this trench in Zara (with it's cute-as-a-picnic gingham lining) that I properly felt I'd ticked off an area in my wardrobe I'd previously felt uncertain about.

Paired with my most worn trousers (bar my once black jeans), I added a little somethin' somethin' with these bad-ass gold loafers from & other stories- which are not only one of the most comfortable pairs of shoes I have but take something a little more formal into a 'business at the top, party on the feet' situation too. Throw in some Cobain-esque sunnies and I think I've finally mastered the art of making a classic staple a little more Liv-friendly. No business meetings or solving mysteries in this get up, please and thank you.

  15. This outfit is one of the best I've seen in a while. I love those gingham pants. They're so cute, especially with the hems. The ruffles add so much flair! And if you don't mind me asking, what color are your nails? They really pop!
