(Knit: ASOS, Trousers: Topshop, Bag: Radley, Shoes: ASOS, Watch: Cluse)

Let's all take a moment to appreciate what must be the most grown up and dark outfit you'll probably ever see on the blog. Putting this on, I did think to myself 'this is the kind of thing I'd wear if I worked in an office that required me to be smart'- which didn't quite coordinate with my seventies Parisian effortless aesthetic- but hey, c'est la vie. There's something about wearing all black that does ooze a kind of effortless cool- despite the fact, for me, wearing head to toe black is anything but effortless.

Isn't it funny how people are so conflicting with dressing and colour? Even back in my emo days (lol, yup, that was a thing) I was always more into the yellow skinny jeans and luminous Nike dunks opposed to black spray-ons and smokey eyeliner- and nothing has really changed. I find it far easier to style a pink coat (with matching pink Jackie O inspired accessories) than I do something totally monochromatic. Saying that- after delving into something a little more sartorially serious- I'm definitely open to the idea of toning things down every now and again (but probably only when all my pink is in the wash)...

  7. Theres just something about those trousers! I agree with the colour thing, over the last few years Ive just felt people are scared of colours and patterns! I cant get enough of them personally... :P By the way, I really like these photos! The background matches the look perfectly :)
