Surf's Up!

When you think of Australia, you think of the beaches. The stunning sweeping coastlines, sandy shores and untouched coves, with waves built for the surf and views stretched out further than the eye can see. Although a visit to the Great Ocean Road was later on our agenda (which I can assure you ticks all of these boxes again and again)- it was our first trip to Bondi that gave us our first taster of the stunning Australian coast.

Being Spring-time and a comfortable 19 degrees, the beach wasn't quite as packed as we'd expected, but being able to paddle in the tide, nip in and out of the many independent boutiques and coffee shops peacefully was a welcome surprise. Over our stay in Australia, I was constantly blown away by the sheer amount of selection and variety there was to eat everywhere- health and wellbeing is such a huge thing here- so being able to pick up smoothies, delicious fresh snacks and...ahem...avocado was amazing.

After a lengthy stroll along the front, Joe and I headed over to the Bondi Icebergs dining room, which possibly has one of the best views in the area. Funnily enough I'd had pictures of Icebergs pinned on various Pinterest boards for months, but never thought I'd be lucky enough to visit- so seeing the turquoise water in real life was beautiful. I'll be touching on the details a little more in this weekends Sydney guide and post, but trust me when I say it was absolutely breathtaking (and every bit as special as those Pinterest boards had suggested)...
