(Coat: River Island, Jumper: GAP, Jeans: GAP, Belt: ASOS, Bag: C/O Radley, Shoes: Chanel)

It's very rare that despite being in London most days of the week- I spend weekends in the big city. Saturday and Sunday are my days for comfort; to catch up on fingering through recipe books, putting away the washing pile that starts to resemble a leaning tower come Friday and stay in my pyjamas long after midday. So- when a free day popped up last Sunday, Joe and I decided to hop on a train and play tourists in town for a few hours. Despite the trains being on diversion due to glorious Sunday works (typical, right) we managed to meander to Marble Arch for brunch before strolling onto a very leafy Regents Park to walk it all off (before a little detour by way of Liberty on the way home, of course)!

Although on the train home we both agreed that we hadn't done much at all despite having several hours having passed- it was so wonderful just getting to spend time together without any real 'content' purpose or direction to our day. We didn't have a particular location to shoot in, we didn't snap every angle of our breakfast and we didn't end up documenting it all online- but it was lovely. We chatted whilst walking along the river and then goofed about on the train home whilst working out our Halloween names too (yup, mine is Old Candle). I definitely need to budget more of these kind of days into my weekends, and vow to make a list of touristy-London-things to get done that I seem to have surpassed having lived here! Suggestions on a postcard please...

  11. This sounds like such a wonderful Sunday! I love days like that, that you can just leave everything behind, go out for a nice meander and take in the calm and crisp atmosphere. I especially like these days in Autumn/Winter when you can wrap up warm and have a relaxing day and then come home to snuggle up with warm drinks by the fire!

Love your jumper - that colour is lovely and it looks so cosy and chic! Pictures are beautiful btw - you've really captured the Autumn Sunday with the redness of that tree too!

  24. I think it's so important to have those days where you don't have anything specific to do, you can just go out and see what happens, without feeling the need to document it all! Sounds like you had a lovely Sunday :)
