(Jacket, Dress, Scarf and Boots: C/O Babour)

There are three things no British festival is usually complete without. Firstly, unpredictable weather- be it tropical to torrential, squelching mud that will gladly pull off even the sturdiest of wellies and, well, a Barbour jacket. Ever since I attended my very first Reading festival way back when and was frantically Googling 'festival fashion' in a pile of camping bags, toilet rolls and cereal bars- I can clearly remember the images of Alexa Chung that would fill the screen; all stripes and waxed jackets- and I don't think that's left me ever since.

So, when Barbour invited Joe and I along to Field Day for a day of Adam Green (and his giant hat), van-burgers and plenty of good music- I knew exactly what I'd be wearing. Whether you're admiring views of Glastonbury from the Stone Circle, waltzing along the river at Wilderness or even keeping it local like Field Day- there's something about the classic Beadnell, some stripes and Chelsea-boot wellies (which, are possibly my favourite new thing) that has the versatility and effortlessness of every good festival outfit- so kudos to Barbour, because although they can't prevent the rain they can certainly make it a little more fun and worry free...

Post in collaboration with Barbour, but love of muddy festivals, being practical and a bit-bloody-trendy and Adam Green all my own

  1. Usually typical 'festival fashion' makes me cringe because of all the cultural appropriation but your outfit is perfect (and definitely not racist) i love it! xx

  7. I am not one for festivals - I hate the idea of standing in the mud and risking to get dirty in a place packed full of people haha. However if I ever do go to one, I'd love to have a Barbour jacket! They look top quality, and I love this purely British style. I love how you styled it, the dress gives it a more festival-appropriate look as Barbour jackets look more like somethind I'd wear for a Sunday stroll in the countryside (ah, I'd love to do that one day!)
