The swingin' mini...

Would it be oh so incredibly Daily Mail of me to say that by wearing this skirt more than once I've essentially 'recycled it K Middy style' (nope, 'recycling' isn't wearing something more than once, yo)! But hey, when I fall for a piece, I usually fall hard (read: I wear it until it decides it needs the weekend off), and this Giamba skirt from FarFetch had my heart a-fluttering, so styling it in a handful of ways to cater for all festive occasions was all too easy (and it even caters for Christmas dinners, sofa Elf watching sessions and sassy dinner dates where you don't quite fancy the LBD)...

(Top: New Look, Skirt: C/O Giamba at FarFetch, Boots: River Island, Bag: & Other Stories)

Nope, I'm going 'out out'...

So, as well as styling it up in my typical polo-neck, ankle boots and sixties coordination kudos, my second thought was 'evening wear'! Usually my idea of evening wear consists of something built upon fleece or towelling, so pulling out a glam party frock just isn't always an option for this girl. So- queue the statement skirt. Seeing as this skirt has subtle flecks of metallic (as well as a structured a line look) it makes it a little bit more special than something more flippy, and paired with simple black with added metallic accessories makes for the perfect dance floor/dinner/cocktail bar/pub outfit (cross out as appropriate).

(Dress (as top): Reformation, Necklace: Swarovski, Bag: Miss KG, Skirt: As Before, Shoes: Boden)

Casual for avocado and toast...

So, although this skirt is a little more glam than just a button up number (can you blame Giamba for the most perfect ladylike pieces though), it can still work as the perfect pick for a casual morning breakfast when paired down with either a t-shirt, knit or blouse and a worn in leather jacket and some classic Prince Charming inspired loafers. Obviously this time of year calls for tights (these nude ones are MAGICAL), so I felt happy to parade about my new favourite piece and let it do the talking against my pasty pins- dreamy!

(Jacket: Oh My Love, Blouse: Madewell, Skirt: As Before, Bag: Aspinal, Shoes: Urban Outfitters)

Post in collaboration with FarFetch, but love of beautiful skirts, incorrect use of the word recycling and the colour pink all my own
