NME Awards 2015 Replay NME Awards 2015 Replay NME Awards 2015 Replay NME Awards 2015 Replay NME Awards 2015 Replay Although I'm not usually one to get excited about awards shows (lol, who am I kidding- did you see my Brits tweets, HUZZAH FOR ROYAL BLOOD!)- the NME Awards have always been something I've been keen to keep up with. I know music is massively subjective to the listener, and awards shows aren't always reflective etc etc yadda yadda, but having done work experience at the NME from the age of 15 (and heading back on any half term I could- keen, I know), sorted demos in the post and having been around during the big build up a couple of times- it's always something I'd love to have attended- as watching on Channel 4 in the early hours doesn't always cut the mustard ; )

This year I was lucky enough to be invited along with Replay, one of the awards sponsors, and manage to get in on the act (s) (no pun intended) - and lapped it up like my 15 year old self definitely would have too, learning the art of not completely losing your cool in front of Jimmy Page (failed), realising most people at these things are far, far cooler than you'll ever be and attempting small talk with Jarvis Cocker whilst he chats about Uber (and then congratulating him on being there this evening- nope Liv). It was an amazingly surreal evening (which makes me sound like l0ser of the year)- but every evening that starts with Nandos, contains a dancing Brett Anderson and ends on a train back to reality with some of your favourite people can only ever be a good one- thank you Replay for making mini (and 21 year old)- Liv's dreams come true!

I also thought I'd create a little playlist based on some of my favourite nominated acts (in case you haven't heard of some of them)- so enjoy here!

  2. How exciting! I'd kill to go, although if my encounter with Greg James was anything to go by I'd be leaving pretty redfaced. #celebrityitis

I'd love to hear your thoughts on your favourite female artist over on my new post, if you have a min!
