(Hat: ASOS, Jumper: Mango, Dungarees: Zara, Bag: Lulu Guinness, Boots: Office, Scarf: Topshop)

During our time in New York, Joe and I were set on making our first ever visit to Brooklyn, with both of us having neither experienced it before. Having heard incredible things about the donuts, sights and shops there- it was something two New York novice's were very excited about. There's no doubt that we underestimated the sheer scale of that side of the city (nope Liv, you probably can't do everything in afternoon you daft girl), but after receiving an email one morning from the lovely Charlotte- we changed a couple of plans, got our walking boots on (or, ahem heeled boots) and set off over the beautiful (and long, very long) Williamsburg Bridge, admiring the sun kissed sights of Manhattan on what was definitely an unusually warm day, sandwiched between some very festive weather.

Although everything will be mentioned in more detail in my city guide (coming in the next week or so), we headed into Williamsburg, and made a brunch pit stop at Cafe Colette (apparently at 11am, we were early risers in the brunch weekend fiasco) and settled down for some much needed fuel, before browsing across some gorgeous vintage and independent shops- and probably spending a little more than I should be able to justify- oops! After catching the subway back over to Manhattan, we spent the rest of our afternoon exploring the East Village, fan girling over a certain Tennessee Thomas (definitely more me, than Joe) and then strolling back to our hotel near Korea Town before heading on out to indulge in one of New Yorks finest burgers. Oh how I love you, NY.
