Today you lovely folks are getting somewhat of a 'buy one get two free' special offer on the outfit post front, which you can thank the lovely people at Benetton, and their bloody cosy knitwear for. When the brand got in touch asking me to style up some of their heritage wool knitwear pieces, I wasn't too sure what to expect. Although I've walked past the store, admired their gorgeous windows from Oxford Circus and been dedicated to the brand since their quilted barn jackets of my secondary school days (am I correct in thinking these were the staple of 2004?)- I haven't stopped to appreciate their knitwear of late; simply knowing they came in a wonderful paintbox bright selection and were always of a pretty high standard...

...and high standard they are. With a deliciously sweet pastel selection fronting their heritage knit collection, I couldn't have been more excited to style the pieces up- and celebrate some of my favourite era-inspired looks whilst keeping cosy- win win, am I correct? With this time of year bringing miserable mornings and dark afternoons, it's so easy to match the forecast and stick to muted monochromes- but light shades needn't be intimidating- and I'm pretty sure I had a little too much fun celebrating this spot of cool winter sunshine in some sunny shades too...

Opting to channel the 'one colour' trend, 'am-I-a-Christmas-tree-yet?' look and something combining a little bit of sixties, seventies, and eighties in my last look- it was fun playing around with lots of different styles- all made up of pretty simple pieces, but all packing a little bit of a trend led punch if I do say so myself! It just goes to show being layer-savvy can be fun, and the cold weather does have it's charm. Kind of.

  11. Lovely photos! I think I am permanently jealous of not only your amazing wardrobe but the sheer quality of your photography and blog in general - I definitely need to up my game! Benneton is a brand I haven't worn since I was a child, but the more I see of them the more I'm slowly tempted back. Next time I'm in London I'm definitely going to have to check out their Oxford Circus store! xo
