Citizen M Bankside Hotel

I know in the past I've included mini round ups of things I've been enjoying, or places I've visited in London- but from time to time I think it's nice to dedicate a bit more space to somewhere I've really enjoyed- and in the past few weeks there's definitely been a few of those (so stay tuned)! One of those spots was Citizen M, in London- a stones throw away from Southwark Station and London Bridge, and a 3 minute walk to the Tate Modern and Globe- not bad, huh- and somewhere that had totally slipped my radar too!

Now, it's very rare I ever take a mini break in the capital- but when I do I'm keen to fish out some of the cutest hideaways (that won't break the bank) and I have to say, this may be climbing up my list! Okay, so apart from the totally Pinnable decor (which had me exploring every cabinet corner for new surprises- ahem, a MOUNTAIN of Penguin novels), each bedroom is exactly the same- meaning every room is the same price and same layout- which surely equals no neighbour envy in the mornings when you walk past the open doored bedrooms being cleaned, right? On top of that each room has different tablet operated 'mood' settings- meaning you can practically have a disco in your shower (I shan't spoil too much here) and hot chocolates, cocktails and cake slices are only ever a lift away in the 24/7 canteen- dreamy.

Finally, without spoiling too much- let me say, the bed is massive (like 3 people roomy)- which means there's perfect room for catching some Z's after indulging in an early breakfast of homemade flaky pastries and juicy wild blueberry compote- yes, that really is as good as it sounds...

Although I was offered a complimentary stay at the hotel all opinions are my own, and I certainly wouldn't have posted about it had I not had a cracking time! P.S Let me know if you like this style of post opposed to 'a few in one'- I'd love to know if you fancy more hotel and foodie reviews!
