Workshop Coffee London Workshop Coffee London Workshop Coffee London If ever there's been a time to give praise to someone, it without a doubt goes to the guy that invented the meal between breakfast and lunchtime- brunch, to you and I. The modern day equivalent of afternoon tea (because afternoon tea is just an extra meal between lunch and dinner, right?) and the perfect excuse to indulge in extra toast/pancakes/waffles/fry ups- with it being totally socially acceptable, amazing.
Workshop Coffee London Workshop Coffee London Fortunately I have several friends who celebrate (or, erm, indulge in) brunch just as often as I do- meaning that when the lovely Stella introduced me to Clerkenwell based Workshop a few months back, I was over the moon to have a new hide-out to add to my list. Not only is there (nearly) always room to pop in for a cuppa on a Sunday morning (especially being so near to the bustling Modern Pantry) but it's certainly put a welcome spin on some of my brunch favourites (French toast is perfect with the addition of espresso mascarpone and crunched hazelnuts, and banana bread is my new wholemeal toast) and has definitely helped broaden my somewhat small brunch pallet- with smoked salmon with seaweed and wasabi aioli being a welcome savoury alternative (and breathe).
Workshop Coffee London Okay, so I don't drink coffee (which ultimately, being brewed on site should be the main point of focus here) but the brunch is amazing and original, the cheery Aussie people that work there make you feel right at home and you can even pick up some treats to take away with you- a must visit? Most certainly.

  6. I used to work at Redweb which is directly opposite back when it was St Ali. Haven't been there since it's changed to Workshop but if it's still as good as it was before then it's awesome!

  15. I'm hungry for eggs and bacon now.. The thing that sticks out the most to me is how tiny the egg yolks are over there! We must have mutant egg yolks in Australia because they're flipping huge in comparison, haha.

  16. Aaah, I used to work near here, pre-children! Great and often under-rated part of London is Clerkenwell.

  20. Yes! Brunch is love! It's also a great time to catch up with friends. It's not too early but you'd still have time later in the day to do other stuff. Workshop looks like an amazing place and your photos are amazing.
