Some time on a chilly December morning, late last year, Joe and I headed into London, wrapped up to the nines to shoot for the Accessorize SS14 campaign, and fortunately we were blessed with some beautiful sunshine- all the way to make things more exciting, huh? Collaborating with one of my favourite high street brands for the new season is always massively exciting, especially when part of the collection is inspired by my hometown and favourite city, London.
Shooting in London we were determined to include some of our favourite places from parading by the phone boxes near the Royal Opera House (one of the most beautiful places in central), to the grand old Houses of Parliament, the beautiful and tourist packed Southbank and not forgetting my old work base of Notting Hill (Hugh Grant moments completely optional). Any excuse to play tourist in my own city!
Celebrating their 30th birthday this year (hey Accessorize, you still look 21 ; ) and having opened their first store in Covent Garden in 1984 the brand have come a long way from their humble beginnings (now having gone global in 73 markets), and are now a firm bookmark on my laptop- and my first stop for well, the perfect accessories (as they have been since I started secondary school, but more on that here).
By far my favourite pieces in the collection are the novelty shaped camera bag (which is potentially one of my dream handbags come to life- it's like they KNEW), the baby pink sequin bowler hat (potentially competition for my wintery fedora, but who can blame me?), and of course not forgetting the beautiful overnight bags- either way, we've been seriously spoilt for choice this season- I just hope my wardrobe can manage the squeeze.
