If there's one way to spend the perfect chilly Sunday morning, I think I've found the answer. Trips out with these lovely ladies is becoming something of a weekend routine, and makes me realise how exceptionally lucky I am to have met such people through blogging (and girls so acceptant of my poor singing and dancing). Hanging out with these girls is the perfect remedy to the more than crisp weather, and I am not one to turn down a Diner fry up in the morning, I'll have you know.
Now, this wasn't a completely ordinary trip out. As you may have noticed, we've all been sporting something from the new Celia Birtwell for Uniqlo collaboration (and re-enacting some Boots adverts)- something I am extremely excited about (the collection, not so much the adverts). Presenting us with a series of prints, reminiscent of those created during bygone eras of the 1960's and 70's (two of my favourite eras for both style and music) it's a wonderful opportunity to get a little slice of creative genius in your wardrobe, especially if you missed her and Mr Clarks collaborative magic from the past.
For my trip into one of the most beautiful parts of our city, Covent Garden- I opted for this beautiful red and white floral dress; just one of the prints oozing '70s nostalgia in Celia's new collection. I teamed the dress with my trusty fedora, vintage bag and two layered coats (yes, it's been that cold)- but am now itching to style this frock with white pumps, bare legs and silly flowers in my hair come summer.
Now, if you're thinking of picking up some pieces come the 21st be aware of this pretty special competition Uniqlo are running to win one of two signed Celia Birtwell prints (with five runners up winning a signed Celia Birtwell with Dominic Lutyens book published by Quadrille). All you have to do is snap a picture of you in your new CB X Uniqlo piece and upload to Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #styledincelia (which we've already started uploading to, so keep your eyes peeled!) The amazing Celia will be selecting winners herself, and you have until the 18th of April to get styling your pieces, good luck!
Finally, if you're about in London this Thursday we will all be hanging out at Uniqlo on Oxford Street from 6:30 for the collection launch, so please come say hello to us and Celia!
