If you know me, have read this blog for longer than a day or have read one of my compulsive tweets, you'll know- I love shopping. Okay okay, so I can't always afford to do it (read: I have a current spending ban)- but dreaming up outfits and a dream wardrobe scenario is one of the next best things- especially when it's all under £200 (cue pinning)...

Now, the lovely people at Money Supermarket are giving you lovely readers the opportunity to do just that! Shopping?! Creating a dream outfit?! Yes- yes indeed. They are obviously very much on my page, and all you have to do is build 3 different looks based on 3 themes all for under £200 as part of their #PassionForFashion2 competition. Breezy. Oh, and you could win £1000 towards your dream spring wardrobe- teeny plus, no? I created the above looks inspired by the 'Party' theme- additionally, the category I shall be judging (exciting, non?)! With Jen, Natasha and I judging the overall winner for one thousand fine pounds, too! In the most Blue Peter sense, here's a couple I made earlier...

party1
Dress:£75, Shoes:£24.99, Earrings: £8.50, Bracelet:£8.00, Bag:£32.00, Lipstick: £8.00 = £156.49

I'd like to think my first look could potentially be spotted on seventies soul Beyonce sibling boogie babe, Solange (all whilst cutting some serious shapes on the dancefloor). Not only does it combine awesome print trends, beautiful shapes and some seriously sassy heels- but adds some colour pop art deco inspired earrings and a perspex bag for extra fash-wun points.
PARTY2
Playsuit:£39, Shoes:£120, Clutch: £20, Socks:£3.50 = £182.50

For my second look, I opted for a more 'Chung' inspired look with a gorgeous sheer play suit (LBPlaysuit) and some Charlotte Olympia inspired accessories (at a snip of the price, of course) the perfect evening outfit- with a quirky lippy twist that I am more than partial to. The perfect spin on a LBD with an added injection of fun in the form of cheeky prints and nerd-chic socks.

You want to get involved? Read on...

-Create a blog post featuring an outfit (for £200 or under) for the three categories- Beach/Holiday-Party-Casual with a little commentary about why you've chosen your outfit, a link to the items you opted for and an image of your outfit (I used Paint to create my collage- simples! Ssh!)
- Let me know you've entered! Comment below this post with a link to your entry- so I can have a nosey!
- Pop an email to passionforfashion@moneysupermarket.com so they have your entry too!
- There will be a £200 prize for each category, and a £1000 prize overall to spend on your dream spring/summer wardrobe! You lucky people...

You have until Friday 5th April 2013 so get dreamin' those outfits up!

  1. The lips clutch reminds me of Lulu Guinness, I occasionally do work for a PR agency that had them as a client and I usually spend all afternoon in the sample closet oggling the clutches! (And working... obviously).
