It was last summer when I was finishing my A Levels, and subsequently completing a pretty intense photography project that I first fell in love with the work of Tim Walker. I was researching fashion photographers whose work I could -attempt- to recreate and there was something so enchanting, beautiful, original (and equally completely un-copyable) about his style that had me at hello. Whether it was the Miss Dior Cherie advert with balloons floating across Paris with the beautiful Maryna Linchuk, or one of my favourite musicians Dev Hynes dressed to the nines in Walkers' Roald Dahl inspired 'Expect The Unexpected' shoot- everything he did seemed to create a tiny piece of magic.

So when I saw Somerset House was displaying an exhibition of some of his finest pieces, I did a small happy dance and pencilled in a date to which I could drag Joe there and gawp in complete awe.

Now, you've probably already seen these pictures adorned across the many beautiful blogs that beat me to the post, but I couldn't help but snap them and want to share them with you. With a beautiful mix of celebrity portraiture, elegant editorials and inspiring quotes decorating the walls, it was a complete treat. I've tried not to give -too- much away as it's really something to go there and see everything and all the amazing and beautifully crafted props in person- but I couldn't help a cheeky bit of spoiler action. Although relatively simple, the display was perfectly curated and still allowed the photographs do the talking; although I would have loved to learn a little more about them- best get saving for the book!
