In all fairness, I do look a little bit motorbike rocker in this combination, and it's arguably a tiny light year away from my usual school-girl shirt collar combination, but with jeans being my go-to item of choice teaming them with dark green spot print blouse and worn in biker jacket ad boots- seemed like the done ('cool') thing to do. I also teamed this a-mazing bag I was so so kindly gifted by Baia bags (check those studs)- which came with the most gorgeous personalisation in the inside, a completely wonderful surprise and the perfect finishing touch to my slightly more edgy outfit! Pow.
On a slightly less edgy note, this week I was invited to Corpus Christi College at Cambridge University (alliteration o'clock), to give a small talk on blogging and the media- to which it is safe to say I was remarkably terrified about. After arriving early (I initially planned to have an intense exploration of the city) I found myself swamped with nerves, and instead headed to the super adorable Fitzbillies cafe in order to stock up on Kalms, heart shaped biscuits and sugary tea, in a measly attempt to distract myself and relax a little.
Overall the talk went ok. If you did come and are reading THANK YOU for listening to my stuttering/embarrassing grammatical slips 'I has been blogging...'/and occasional self inflicted awkward silences- I really appreciate your time, and helping me overcome one of my biggest fears: public speaking (anyone from school would tell you how red I went in a history lesson when asked to talk...)

Despite me being a nervous Purvis, following the talk I was given a gorgeous night time tour of the city, which included strolling the twinkling rain splattered pavements, browsing the colourful parades of shops, visiting the stunning bridges and the fantastically grand and other-worldly colleges- which was like exploring the grounds of Hogwarts- completely unbelievable and flawless. I also experienced a Halloween formal at the college, which was a real giggle, and met some lovely ladies- so thank you ever so much for having me!
Finally, I'm so thrilled with the response to my last Breast Cancer post- it was for such a worthy cause and Sarah's Raffle did AMAZINGLY (hurrah) so thank you to all that clicked through. I also had a good response in regards to beauty posts (despite slightly failing in the beauty lingo department) so would love to know if you fancy any thing else make-up based? Although it seems my only real forte is lipsticks...
