If you've followed my blog in a while you'll know, in my opinion, I'm a pretty conservative dresser- and this, for me, is a relatively extreme use of pattern - even I am slightly bowled over. Mixing spots with Big Ben is unheard of in my books! However, I found it fun stepping ever so slightly out of my comfort zone, so maybe that'll encourage me to be a little more ballsy with my dressing in future! I absolutely adore of the House of Holland tights, but always struggle with styling them. Have any of you styled his tights before? If so, what do you team them with?
Anyway, this is all in aid of a special post I'm doing for the gorgeous Carla over at Messy Carla whilst she's away in the U S of A, so do keep checking over at her blog for some awesome guest posts!
Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed yesterday's gift post. I had so much fun making it, and even realised I have a real penchant for gadgets (maybe magnets...) and toys so if any of you have any more requests will be happy to have a hunt around! I've got a pretty busy weekend coming up, filled with work and a trip to see the boyfriend early next week, but will try to keep posting regularly. I know I have a couple of outfits I'm excited to post about including a special swap post with the beaut that is Vicki at The Magpie girl- so stay tuned! Have lovely weekends! Are any of you doing anything awesome?

Love this Liv, and it's definitely still a 'you' outfit even though you've broken out the prints :) Beaut!
ReplyDeleteI think the spots work well with Big Ben. Probably because they are spread quite sparsley amongst the jumper.
ReplyDeleteLove your lipstick by the way.
Is that Big ben on your tights? Thats so cool. I think the polka dots go really well with it! x
ReplyDeletegreat outfit! I play safe with mine too ALL the time. Yours are a lot better haha love love love the jumper as well.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment on my blog btw, it's made me think about it. I don't want to go to University and then not enjoy what I'm doing and seeing as I'm still so undecided at this point in time I think i should leave it!
so thanks for the help :) xxxx
Aah, I love it! Such a gorgeous jumper, the tights are amazing too!
ReplyDeletexoxo.
I like the colour of your lipstick! :)
ReplyDeleteI think the spots and big ben compliment each other brilliantly! I'm always wary about patterns and clashing colours but I think these days anything goes.

Lovely lovely outfit! And I know what you mean - I have the odd pair of patterned tights that I find a nightmare to style, but I love them haha.

You look gorgeous, I have trouble mixing prints too, but this is definitely subtle enough to work. Love the jumper over the dress like this too.
ReplyDeletelove it, subtle mix of prints! I'm wearing polka dots with stripes tonight x
ReplyDeleteFabulous outfit hun, the tights look lovely :) I adore the jumper and the skirt too. It's nice to try something a little different x
ReplyDeleteYou really suit prints!!
ReplyDeletelovely lovely outfit, I always have trouble with patterned tights and tend to only wear them with plain black things! xx
ReplyDeleteI adore this outfit, you can definitely pull off two prints with enviable ease! Your jumper is so lovely and the tights are brill, love them

Everything looks very put-together, so your worries are for naught :) I feel like the patterns work well together due to the black and white. So pretty!

ReplyDeleteAw you look lovely Liv, absolutely in love with House of Holland tights! (:
ReplyDeletehey hun i love the mix of prints!! you should embrace it more! :) i love mixing prints the bolder the better! xo
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely outfit! the tights are so cool x
ReplyDeletei love this outfit! it's brilliant. lovely jumper and those tights are amazing x
ReplyDeleteI don't think two prints is too much, specially because the pattern on the jumper is really big but more discrete.
ReplyDeleteI used to wear thights with prints all the time (bows, dots, bunnies, etc) and the only thing I think it must be avoided is printed bottoms, the rest is pretty much fine.
the tights are awesome! You look lovely x
ReplyDeleteI'm a real simple dresser myself, and I would definitely not be able to pull off the big ben/spots looks. In fact, I can't pull off the quirky/vintage look AT ALL. You make it look so easy though, your make up and hair stop keep it looking fresh, and not try hard. Lovely :)

You look fab as always xx
ReplyDeleteLove the tights, they're so different and something i'd be unsure of how to wear, but you pull them off so well.
