(Dress: Primark, Belt: Vintage, Bag: Mulberry, Loafers: Russell & Bromley, Jacket: Mums, Ring: YSL Arty, Necklace: gift)
Ok, so perhaps Primark aren't as cheap as they once were. Gone are the days you can go in with £20 and pick up two dresses and a pair of shoes, or even a shop's worth of t-shirts, however, recently I've found more and more quality pieces in the store, which could easily be mistaken for other high street shops- a great example is this dress. Being on a bit of a tight budget last week, and desperate for a piece to wear out during the week, I headed to Primark. Amongst the masses of pattern emblazoned chiffon dresses I spotted this. At first I was a little unsure, having quite a boyish figure shift dresses occasionally have the tendency to swamp me, but with a belt this dress won me over. Not only is it completely versatile, made with a thick fabric (nothing wishy washy here) and embellished with gorgeous embroidery, but after buying it I remembered some other pieces it distinctly reminded me of...
(cough cough dress number 3 cough cough)
and what can I say? The rest is history. I look forward to seeing more of Primark's AW stuff hitting the shops in the next few months (I posted about it here on Sophie's blog) and with my current student budget, I won't feel too guilty afterwards.

P.S I was also interviewed by the gorgeous Robyn on her blog, which you can have a peek at here!

ReplyDeleteprimark is more expensive now, which i don't like but then they do some lovely dresses - once you work your way through all the rubbish! suits you.

It's a lovely dress. I hate that it's more expensive now, also whenever I go there looking for something specific they never have it! x
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, love your denim jacket.
ReplyDeleteNice ring !
This dress is gorgeous and I love it with the denim jacket. It's true that Primark is getting a bit more expensive but still the cheapest place around and I also agree that the quality is improving too :) xx

wow! cannot get over that dress being from Primark, it's exactly like that Kate Moss one! Yeah, I agree about Primark prices but at least the clothes seem to be getting a bit better in quality. Always love seeing your outfit posts, you dress so nicely! x

Going to be heading to Primark before work tomorrow to hopefully track down this absolute beauty!
ReplyDeletelovely dress :)
ReplyDeleteprimark def is more expensive now. Obvs I'd rather it was cheaper but I love their ranges so I'm not complaining too much. A skirt i saw in there was almost identical to a H&M one and the H&M one was cheaper!
You're right, never would of thought 'Primark!'
ReplyDeleteYou look amazing,

What a pretty dress - Primark, really?! Didn't see it when I was in there today, bet it's been snapped up already.
ReplyDeleteLove the dress, totes can't believe its primark? Looks like Oasis or Warehouse or something...
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about the Prime pricetags though...just keeps rising. I swear H&M is way more value for money than they are now *sigh*

ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous dress! I completely agree with you about Primark having better a better quantity and quality of clothes in store now. I recently just bought this dress, when I first saw it I wondered if I had got primark and urban outfitters mixed up, haha. http://www.ldnfashion.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/primar-aw-lookbook-2.jpg
