(After spending approximately 3 hours trying to upload this photo and correctly size this photo somewhere I've done it! The internet connection in my new room is plug in and is prone to breaking out every now and then, so it can be a little testing!)
Hello! It feels strange not having posted in two days! I know that's not a great deal of time, but having so much time on my hands I've been able to post everyday, and suddenly everything has gone into an overwhelming overdrive so I've been a little tight for time!
Anyway! I'm all moved in in Liverpool! Thank you for all your lovely well wishes and tweets for my move! It's so strange being so far from home, and I've been feeling a little under the weather and homesick, but I'm sure it's just a matter of time until I'm feeling my perky self again! I've had a small browse of the city, but still have so much to see and explore, so I'm quite looking forward to having a proper wander during the week! Do you know of any lovely places in Liverpool? Any reassuring 'moving out' stories?
I also recently received a beautifully wrapped parcel from the team at Select, and was lucky enough to be sent this beautiful pleated spotty skirt! I was really pleasantly surprised by the quality of the fabric, and how it perfectly clinched the waist- without necessarily needing a belt. Additionally, it's a steal on the website at a mere £6 (yes you heard correctly!), so for such a bargain I was pretty blown away!
Anyhow, I'm going to try and post as much as possible, (unfortunately without the outside outfit posts) and will try and stay in the loop- it's amazing how many blogs I had to catch up on after just a day of not checking!
Hope you're all having a nice Monday!
x

This is beautiful! I truly love the outfit and how you paired polka-dots with somewhat of a stripped oversized cardigan. Have fun exploring Liverpool and i'm sure.
ReplyDeleteMy friend went to the Allerton area of Liverpool and loved the beattles' tours!

I just finished my degree at the University of Liverpool (English and History) and I had the best three years of my life! The city is fantastic and brimming with culture! For nights out try Bar CaVa on Wood Street, a tequila bar and cannot be missed and two clubs L'Ago on Colquitt Street and Bumper on Hardman Street ( which stays open until 6!), both of which play amazing music and have a fantastic atmosphere. For shopping, the vintage stores are fabulous, particularly Raider's Vintage on Renshaw Street. But regardless of where you go, you'll have a fantastic time and you'll fall in love with Liverpool! Hope you have fun! And love the blog! x
ReplyDeleteI love your outfit! That skirt is so pretty, definitely going to have a look at that! Hope you have an amazing time in Liverpool, i'm going into my second year and one of my friends goes to Liverpool Uni. She loves the city and is having an amazing time!! I'm sure you will too, enjoy every minute of it!!

Hoep you have a great time at university! Sometimes I wish I was moving further away to go to uni instead of staying home, but I guess that's what happens when you go through clearing! I'm happy all the same :)

You look lovely here as per :) good luck with your freshers week! I was exactly the same as you know! My favourite spots at night in Liverpool were Mood- Mood Mondays 90p a drink, Baa Baa and my favourite Popworld which plays all 90's cheesy pop songs heaven! Also Liverpool One is pretty awesome too! Have a great few days, hope you feel a little more settled soon :) x
ReplyDeleteGlad your move went well :) I love the blouse Oliva, is it recent stock? It would be perfect for work!

ReplyDeleteWelcome to Liverpool! I definitely second the recommendations of Ca Va and Bumper for nights out, they're fantastic bars and play the best music. And although Liverpool One is amazing for shopping, if you wander down Bold Street you'll find some out-of-the-way vintage shops selling some real gems!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you will start to feel yourself soon! And this skirt is amazing I have been hunting high and low for a polka dot skirt and then you present me with one that is £6, thank you! xx
ReplyDeleteAw I'm glad the move went okay and that you're settled in! I can still remember moving into my Uni halls for the first time, such a surreal and overwhelming feeling. Gorgeous outfit too Liv, I lusted after that coat for the longest time and never managed to buy it. xx
