It comes a time, not necessarily every year, when a girl has to pick out the perfect winter coat. The general criteria usually includes warmth, comfort, and preferably style. This year, after cherishing, and tiring out my beloved Topshop sailor coat, I am on the hunt for the next perfect winter coat.
This year, however, I've been split. With the androgynous trend popping up on high streets left, right and centre, blazers and tuxes decorating every stores visual display and lapels simply being the new black, I've found thick blazer like coats simple irresistible.
Saying that, part of me is also shouting 'Liv, think practicality! Come on, you're British, you need a hood!' Living in Britain, it is simply inevitable that it will rain/snow every winter, and having hair that isn't particularly weather proof (think a gallon of hairspray and it STILL goes flat in the breeze) a hood is usually favourable in times of testing weather, hense a duffle coat being on my mind!
So, after browsing the high street, I have selected my favourite high street coats, and now have the decision of choosing just one, even if it means investing in a bobble hat to compensate for a hood! I'm so torn between a duffle coat or a boxy pocket coat! I've seen so many gorgeous coats, but these are my final 4 choices! Which do you like best?
Are there any coats you've got your eye on this winter?

Oooh I quiet like the second one! xx

I love the Topshop one, I got a duffle last year what I really need is a smaller coat for the rainer days in the autumn problem is most of them don't have huds.

The first and second ones are beautiful, I can see you in both of them! I can't wait to go winter coat shopping, I literally live in my winter coats, so cosy. xxx
ReplyDeleteCoat number three is adorable, I love it! xxx
ReplyDeleteGreat post Liv! Im just recently come across your blog & im hooked already :) Not coat related & i hope you dont mind me asking, but is your hair naturally a reddy colour, or do you colour it? Its left me with a desire to colour my hair that i cant seem to let go of :) x
ReplyDeleteGreat post! I really like the quilted jackets that are around at the moment but they aren't too sensible for winter as they don't have hoods!
ReplyDeleteOh I hate that time of the year when I have to buy a coat a) Ican never decide and b) when i do decide it is usually the worst choice ever. I have yet to buy a coat that I actually end up liking, but I am liking no.1 here xx
ReplyDeleteMy favourite is the third! x
ReplyDeleteI'm a bit of a skintflint at the moment and can't afford to get a new coat! But I'm loving your selections!
